This hunting lease is leased and not available.
From the previous year's trail cams pictures this property holds bucks! It sits on the South Dakota / North Dakota border in north-eastern SD. The property also straddles two SD counties. The west piece is in Marshall county and the east piece is in Roberts county. It would be a good archery whitetail, pheasant, and waterfowl property. (If you're a South Dakota resident, then rifle deer tags may be possible.)
A total of 392 acres is included and split into two pieces about a mile apart, with the property in between being enrolled in public walk-in hunting. As the public land gets hunted, I bet pheasants and deer move into this lease.
The west parcel contains shelterbelts with tree stand potential. The eastern piece has some trees & pasture, but is predominately cropland with cattail sloughs. The cattails hide bucks and pheasants! Depending on how dry conditions are - duck hunting over water could be possible, or during the migration field hunting could be great!
I have not yet been to the property to inspect it, but from talking with the landowner this sounds like a good description. Feel free to inspect for yourself if you are in the area.
Come arrow one of these cruising bucks in late October or early November. Rifle deer season in the area opens around November 20th, so archers have a great opportunity! NOTE: THIS PROPERTY HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED. Make sure you inspect the property before placing a non-refundable deposit. The details of the property derive from the description provided by the landowner and the aerial assessment by the leasing agent.
