BUCKS, DUCKS AND TURKEYS!!!
I have been told there is 200" buck on or near this farm!
Tracts this big, in this area, are very rare and this will be a great all around property.
Located just a ½ mile off Highway 75, and fifteen minutes from Topeka, this 783- acre property has all of the ingredients- food, thick cover, open cover, tall grass, brush, ponds, creeks, hills, hidden nooks, access from three side and lots of room to spread out. Upon inspection I spotted about a dozen deer, a handful of tom turkeys and easily over a hundred ducks.
The pasture ground in the middle of the property is clean, open grass on the south end. But as you move north, going up over the hill, it becomes more and more brushy and eventually very thick trees and brush, as access becomes increasing difficult. ATV access is very easy if you go across the pond dam and follow the fence line north, but I would not recommend this in a pickup. I kicked up easily over one hundred ducks on the three ponds. The biggest pond in the south has a couple of makeshift blinds that can be used (one of them will have to pulled out of the water).
Cattle will be on the property part of the year.
Hundred and Ten Mile Creek runs along the western border of the property, providing approximately 1.5 miles of navigable water! I kicked up a bunch of ducks off it as well. This creek is just big enough that it should provide some fishing and canoeing opportunities.
