This hunting lease is leased and not available.
212 acre all legal game hunting lease in Crawford County. Crawford County is well known within Wisconsin as being a trophy Whitetail County. Here is your chance to hunt one of the more preferred counties in the state.
Western side of the property is more of what you expect to see in this part of the State. Rolling agricultural fields transitioning up into the timbered ridges. Portions of the Western side are pastured with some cattle during late spring, summer, and early fall. Eastern part of the property is primarily timbered but transitions down to the river bottoms along the Wisconsin River. If you are into wing shooting of waterfowl, one could expect some really good numbers of ducks and geese in the fall to be staging here on their way south.
As you can see on the aerial, there is a railroad track that runs through a portion of the eastern side of the property. Landowner stated to me that it is still an active set of tracks, but that it is not used very often. That is about all I know in regard to this.
On the aerial, in yellow lines, you can see the 3 access points into the property. Camping is allowed for hunting related activities near the metal shed on the very southwestern corner of the property but access to that may be limited to after crops are harvested. Landowner will also occasionally be camping in this location, but primarily for trout fishing in the Gran Crae Creek. Landowner is pretty adamant in regard to protecting the fishery on this creek that runs through their property, but is open to allowing whoever leases it access to the creek from the property but this would require their permission and explanation of rules they follow first.
The part of the property outlined in blue on the aerial are not owned by the landowner and thus not included in the lease.
This is an all-legal game hunting lease. Camping for hunting related activities is okay at the location designated by landowner on southwestern corner of the property. Food plots would require permission from the landowner but expect these to be very limited in regard to potential locations. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related activities is okay when weather and ground conditions permit. Landowner would like to meet initially and be contacted prior to each visit to the property.
