One thing I have truly enjoyed as the Wisconsin Leasing Agent is learning more about almost every county in the state. After talking to the landowner and seeing the pic's off his trail cameras, I am starting to believe that Burnett County is a true sleeper. One thing he told me is that the locals want the rest of the state to believe Burnett County is just the opposite. Check out the you tube video link below of a 200" + shot in Burnett County just a few years ago.

So, you may be wondering by now why the landowner is deciding to lease out this property. As he explained it too me, he owns dozens and dozens of properties in Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri and he can't hunt them all. He also said that since he has owned every one of his properties, trail cameras and stands have been placed on them. According to him, Trade Lake which is just a smidge west of this property creates a perfect funnel for bucks during the rut through the western side of this property. As you can see by the pictures, they are not just your average 2- or 3-year-old bucks.
Access, park along the side of the road or talk to the neighbor to the north. That neighbor allowed this landowner to park and walk in around the edge of her field. There is also a small convenience type store on the corner that allowed him to park there when hunting. All of these you need to get their permission prior to assuming you too have the same.
No real locations for food plots or camping from what I saw during my inspection. Landowner is okay with respectful ATV use for hunting related activities. All legal game is yours to hunt.
