This hunting lease is leased and not available. This 47-acre hunting Lease is located in the town of Mountain City, TN, Johnson County, hunting unit A. This property is 60% woods and 40% pasture and abuts 4,700 acres of DMRA land along the southeast side. The pasture has nice hardwoods on the back side along the barbed wire fence. A beautiful running stream ran along the hardwoods and the pasture with a good amount of water when I inspected the property. The stream was easy to step across. This property was not hunted in 2019-2022, as reported by the landowner. The hardwoods have a couple of saddles running east to west, multiple deer runs, and multiple rubs found on the saddles. A large amount of deer tracks on the west side drop down to the front field. Deer droppings were found all over the hardwoods, old and fresh. Multiple large white oak trees were found scattered all over, with signs of deer feeding heavily on the acorns. This property has many well-used deer trails winding through the thicker areas of the hardwoods. The hardwoods are mostly thick, with trails coming out to small open areas. The deer are crossing through an old Cemetery in the middle of the hardwoods. Respectful ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes, but be mindful of the cattle and ensure all gates are closed. The landowner is open to camper use after the first frost. Once the last haying is complete, the camper must be removed at the end of the hunting season. The landowner will supply the key to access the gate.
