If you have been following the deer harvest over the past couple of years out of Fayette County, you will know the caliber of bucks that have been taken. This farm lies within a 1/2 mile of a farm I currently have leased which has produced some very nice bucks, so I know this farm sits in a great area. The recent trail cam pictures also show the potential this farm his to produce a nice Illinois buck. While walking this farm I found plenty of deer sign. The south end of the farm connects to a larger tract of timber. It appears, the deer are coming from the larger timber onto to this farm to feed in the row crops. The underbrush in the timber is heavy in several places so the deer should feel extremely comfortable traveling through. In fact, the timber on this farm is being used as a travel corridor. Because of the seasonal stream that runs the length of the property there are couple of very nice pinch-points, which will be obvious once you walk it. This farm definitely has a lot to offer and holds a ton of potential.
