This hunting lease is leased and not available.
What a great property this is! It is basically three different zones to help you spread out and take advantage of the different hunting seasons and hunt different species.
The northeast corner of the property features my favorite kind of habitat- CRP fields amongst the big woods and creek bottoms. This is an obvious area for the deer to hangout. Feeders will be deadly, and food plots may be a possibility. The property to the south and east is a landfill, or is owned by the same company, and I was told only one person is allowed to hunt over there, so pressure should be very minimal. There is a tall net along the landfill parts. The landowner lives on site. He is a great guy and is willing to help you out as needed.
Buck Creek makes up the west property line. There is plenty of cover along the creek to hold deer, and I was told nobody hunts on the neighbors to the west as well.
The interior of the property is farm ground that will provide a good food source. The Kansas River is less than a mile to the south and geese have been known to feed in these fields.
No cattle will be on this property.
There is easy access to all parts of the property. Highway 24 is the south property line.
Located only 5 miles from Lawrence.
There are several houses on the property, and lodging may be a possibility.
Deer unit 10.
