This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 204 acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Lewis County, New York. The hunting lease is located in WMU(6C) and is about 30 miles from Watertown and FT Drum. Syracuse is about 60 miles NW. I had this property 4 years ago. This hunting lease is flat and easy to get around on. The hunters loved it but unfortunatley the landowner claimed they rutted up a farm field and did not want him back anymore. The next hunter that leased said his group could not believe the amount of doe and youg bucks on lease. They were from Vermont and I talked to them several times during the year. Landowner pulled property a couple years ago - not sure why. He called me and asked to lease property out again due to his loss of revenue from the snowmobile season. Snow showed up late last couple years and he has a Bed and Breakfast just off the snowmobile trail, which runs through this hunting lease. I just walked this property again and the snowmobile association has put a nice bridge across the main stream. Property consists of 65 acres on one side of road and 139 on the other side. Lots of cedar thickets, swamps, apple trees and working farm fields. Property is loaded with deer. I jumped a bunch in the cedar swamp side. On the big side of lease there were a herd of 20 plus deer in the farm field grazing. This lease is loaded with deer sign and deer! Property should also be good for turkey. Please do not inspect with an ATV. It is too muddy, as the snow is still melting. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes only. No camping. Check with landowner about his bed and breakfast for possible place to stay. You can post property if you want. This hunting lease will go fast! Check out pics of deer in farm field!
