This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Just east of Ramsey Creek lies this 110-acre lease in Fayette County, IL. The property is made up of timber, water, and pasture ground. It had a select cut approximately two years ago and the tops were left, which will provide cover and even bedding. Although there are no row crops on this farm it is surrounded on all sides by corn and beans. With the farm being somewhat secluded and the landowner living on site, you will have no worries of any security issues. The landowner is a super nice guy, as he and I toured the farm together. He also had a lot of insight on how the deer travel through this farm. By only having a select cut, you will see in the photos there are plenty of trees from which to hang a stand. There are some stands that are still on the property. These stands are not safe, as they have been there with no use for about three years. However, if you replace the straps and make them safe, the landowner has no issue with you using them. There are currently twenty head of cattle on the property, however, the landowner will have them removed for hunting season. Even with the cattle on the farm, you will see in the pictures, there is still plenty of underbrush. The cattle have been here for thirty plus years, and they should have no effect on the deer. In fact, the landowner stated he has seen deer hanging around the cattle. Because the owner lives on the property, please call the leasing agent prior to inspecting.
