137 acre all legal game hunting lease in Polk County. Over a mile of ATV trails highlight this property that is combination of various terrains, rock outcrops, timbered ridges, and lower ground. Just might be the most pictures I have ever taken on any lease as the landowner gave me a guided tour. Only a few people have been hunting the property over the past few years. Numerous stands exist on the property of which you are allowed to use (at your own risk). A few of which are shown on the pictures in the listing,
Large oak trees are scattered throughout almost the entire property along with various other trees including many cedar trees. There is an older cabin on the property which is also pictured in the listing. It's certainly seen its better days, but you are allowed to store items in it or if you ambitious enough to clean and seal it up a bit, would be a place to stay over for a night or two. Camping is also allowed with permission from the landowner regarding where on the property.
There was plenty of deer sign, both in trails, tracks, and rubs as shown in the listing pictures.
The 5-acre open field is planted in corn and has been the scene of many larger deer harvests. I did also see several places where food plots could be put in. These ranged from maybe 1/4 acre to ½ acre in size. Landowner is open to you doing this, just discuss with him first the location.
All legal game is yours to hunt with your choice of weapon. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related activities is also allowed when weather and ground conditions permit. Your group will each be given a personal ID card and another ID card to put on the dash of your vehicles when at the property. Aluminum "Leased Land – No Hunting or Trespassing" signs will also be provided.
