This hunting lease is leased and not available.
15 acre all legal game hunting lease in Barron County. I did not know what to expect when I decided to inspect this property. When I drove up, I almost decided to pass on leasing it. Since I was already there, decided to put on my rubber boots and go take a look. Within a few yards, I was already seeing rubs from previous years and large game trails. Continued my inspection almost to eastern boundary and the rubs and trails continued the entire way through the property.
The center of the property is a cedar type swamp. My inspection was in the spring and thus it should have been as wet as it would be the entire year, yet I had no problems with my knee-high boots getting through it. There is a narrower higher ridge on the northern side. On the southern side, the ridge appears to get wider especially as you travel east.
Full disclosure - this property may not be for everyone. If you're looking for easy access and the ability to drag your deer out with an ATV, this property is not for you. If you are okay with a bit more work to hunt a property and trying to figure out how best to access your stands.........I believe the amount of deer sign I saw will make all that effort worth your while. Besides the amount of sign I saw, if you study the aerial and surrounding properties, this little 15-acre parcel appears to be one of the primary bedding areas and where deer head when hunting pressure starts.
All legal game is yours to hunt. No real places to drive an ATV, put in food plots or camp thus those are not allowed.
