This hunting lease is leased and not available. Franklin County Virginia mountain property!! Here it is folk, a hard-to-find mountain tract in one of the top producing counties in Virginia. Property consists of 2 main ridges running to the top of the mountain. One ridge was timbered in the late 1990s the other ridge hasn't been timbered in over 40 years. Good access roads which the landowner cuts twice a year. More road from the logging are present for use but not passible for a tractor. The eastern ridge does have an overgrown pasture the landowner plans to reclaim in 2023 a narrow strip around 100 yards wide by a couple hundred yards long. (See picture.) Just for hay purposes, no livestock will be on the property. A food plot could be planted in this area as well. This should make an excellent stand location!

When I inspected the property, I found numerous trails that were warn ditches. Fresh dropping and tracks are easy to find here. Property is thick in some areas which should hold deer year-round. A steam does run through the property to provide a good water supply. Several oaks both red and white are on this property as you move up the mountain. This area is known for producing great bucks. According to the landowner the previous hunter had some nice deer on camera from the 2022 season, unfortunately he didn't have them saved to share.

An opening where a camper can be setup is on the west side of the property. A shed is also there that will be available for use if desired. ATV and Camping are acceptable for hunting purposes only.
