I am just going to say it: if you are looking to harvest a mature Illinois buck, this is the farm for you. The pictures alone highlight the caliber of bucks that are on this lease. Having personally hunted this farm, I can attest that it is home to some impressive bucks. Last year, I let several bucks in the mid to upper 140s walk because I knew there were even better ones on the property. I had my sights set on a mid to upper 160s buck that was roaming the farm. The bucks I passed on last season should be close to, if not in, the 160s this year. The property features timber, row crops, CRP, and water—everything needed to hold these mature bucks. There is an old food plot in the southeast / east side of the farm that will need rejuvenated. Access to the farm is through a gated and locked road, so you will need to contact me to walk the property. The west side is bordered by the interstate, the south by crops, and the 36-acres to the north is a no-hunting zone. This means you will experience little to no hunting pressure around you. During both shotgun seasons, I did not hear a shot or see anyone else hunting.
There are stands on the property, but you will need to replace the straps if you want to use them. Currently, there is a Redneck blind on the property, but it will be removed by the landowner for use on his new farm.
*There is a 6 year solar battery storage contract on the farm. Batteries will be stored on the north side; starting where you see the pond going north - This may or may not occur depending on lease negotiations.
