This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Rare find hunting lease in Trempealeau County. Trempealeau County may just be one of the very best in Wisconsin for trophy deer and thus also one of the hardest to find leases in. This 250-acre deer and turkey hunting lease may be one of the best properties I have put out in several years. A great mix of agricultural and timbered ridges along with a small creek that runs through a portion of the property. The southwestern patch of timber was selectively cut several years ago, and the new growth of browse and bedding is just about perfect now for what us hunters are looking for.
I believe this could be a special property, one that does not come along very often. Landowner purchased this parcel along with another 1700+ acres in 2022 that either borders or is near this parcel. They own over 3 sections of land in this part of Trempealeau County.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease. The landowner owns all the property that borders this parcel to the west and north. Camping requires permission from the landowner as to where and when. This is not guaranteed as he is concerned that camping does not interfere in anyway with farming activities but is willing to discuss. I did not see any spots for food plots as all tillable ground is already in crops. If you find an area that is not tilled and might make for a small food plot, landowner is willing to discuss that as well. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related activities is okay if weather and ground conditions permit, but the landowner wants to remind you that no crops can be destroyed in any way.
Landowner does reserve the right to control the coyote population and hunt them once deer seasons are over. You are allowed to as well, but landowner wanted me to state he and whoever he lets do this each year is allowed. Not trying to give you the impression the area is overrun with coyotes just that the landowner wants to keep the population numbers low.
