This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 252 acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Chenango County, New York. This hunting lease is located in WMU (7M) and is about 8 miles NE of Norwich. Syracuse is about 50 miles north. This hunting lease is a combination of horse pasture, working hay fields, thickets, woods, plantation pines and overgrown hidden meadows. The hunting lease slopes up from the road in the south. It has spots that are steep and other areas that are gradual. Landowner routinely sees 8 to 12 deer in the mornings and evenings. The hunting lease has a great trail system. Most are brushed hogged by landowner. The hunting lease has everything deer and turkey need. There is tons of deer sign. The landowner would like property posted by the hunters that lease it. My ONX app worked great. Get with landowner for what goes on posters. The hidden meadows at top of hill on east border would make great food plots in the future. Landowner will allow food plots. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes only -stay on established trails (there are lots of them). You can park a camper for hunting season only. Get with landowner for parking spot. There is access from blacktop on the east border which is top of the hill (see yellow circle on aerial Map). Hunting lease is loaded with apple trees - due to a late frost not all are holding apples (2023). I shot a 138 inch buck a hill away from this property (on another Base Camp Leasing property and had several other bigger on camera). Be careful not to shoot toward house or horse pastures. This property will make a great hunting lease this year and years to come!
