Located on the western edge of Sedgwick County just minutes from Wichita, and only two miles from Cheney Reservoir, this looks to be a really good deer property. During my last visit I jumped a big bodied, mature buck.
The woodlots on the north end and NE corner have several open areas that look great to set up feeders in.
The hedgerow on the south side of the property runs the entire width of the property and is very thick- providing additional excellent cover for the deer. The property to the south has been tall grass and scattered trees and brush and may be in CRP. I have been told that nobody hunts on the neighbors to the south and east.
The groundskeeper that mows the property waterfowl hunts, but won't if he know you will be there. Good communication will be key for this situation.
The balance of the property is mowed for hay.
Access will be through the locked gate on the north side of the property.
This lease will be for deer only.
No hunting around the west pond when people are staying at the house.
Owner requests prior notice of when you will be on the property.
