Carroll County is a county where leases are very difficult to come by, but here is your chance to have your own private farm to hunt yourself. The property lies just north of Mt. Carroll, IL and is made up of timber, row crops, water, and pasture ground. The blue outlined area shows where the cattle are fenced in. There are only around fifteen head of cattle and there may be less. They should have absolutely no effect on your hunting. Not only is there a seasonal stream running through the west side of the farm, but there is also a pond on the northwest side, which provides water for the deer. Although I have not yet walked this farm the aerial photo shows several locations where you would more than likely hang a stand, especially those pockets where the row crops meet the timber. I've also included a few trail cam pictures that were provided by the landowner. This lease definitely has potential. Although this is an archery lease only, there will be no firearms hunting. The landowner does not want any firearms on the property. Because of the difficulty finding a lease within this county, don't wait on this one. Request the driving directions and take a look.
