This lease features a couple of heavily wooded, half mile long, draws situated between rolling crop fields and adjacent to big CRP! The deer sign was very evident, and I kicked up close to a dozen deer during my inspection.
These draws are about 100 yards wide on average, and along with the small creek cutting across the SE corner, are obvious funnels for the wildlife. There are several nooks that would be excellent spots to hang stands. The old shed in the SE corner could be a good place to set up a blind in.
The west draw has a small wet weather creek through it and is mostly thicker brush among the mature trees. The east draw is more open in the interior and probably more conducive to stand inside the woods.
The bonus property to the SE features some waterways spilling over from the neighbors CRP, and some grass in the SE corner, and could also be good for some bird hunting.
