This hunting lease is leased and not available.
150-acre deer and turkey hunting lease in Iowa County. Here is your chance to lease one of the most sought-after counties in Wisconsin. The landowner owns almost 220 acres but wants the acreage outlined in blue on the aerial to not be included in the lease. They consider this part of their back yard and where they take occasional walks. No one will be hunting the area outlined in blue on the aerial.
Fresh snow from the morning hours of my inspection covered the ground, but as you can see in the pictures, the fields were full of deer tracks. Seen this throughout my inspection on the property. The timbered ground is basically a valley that is very secluded and cannot be seen from the road or even the landowners home. My feeling beside the property harboring a healthy herd of deer, it also feels like where bucks will cruise throughout the rut.
As you can see by the aerial, the timbered ground runs almost the entire length of the property on the north side with several smaller isolated agricultural fields. If I were a mature buck, this is where I would call home.
The acreage on the western side across the county road has a creek that has timber on both sides and makes up the western boundary. I would suggest not ignoring this for possible stand locations, especially if acreage is planted in corn.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease. Camping and food plots allowed with permission from the landowner as to where. The landowner would like to be contacted prior to your visits to the property. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related purposes is also okay when weather and ground conditions permit.
