It is in the 2A WMU and is bordered by State Game Land # 296. The main access is at the Northwest end of the property, off Banning Road, by climbing up the steep incline next to the high train trestle. The top is mixed hardwood with plentiful mast trees throughout. There were plentiful deer trails, rubs and scrapes as well as bear and turkey sign across the mile long length of the property. Numerous rock outcroppings dot the property. At the Southeast corner of the property several springs make a small wetlands area. The ridge above this shows signs of old fire damage and is covered with elm and poplar trees, making it prime mushroom habitat. The edge of the property is marked by a powerline that provides an excellent hill for spotting game crossing from the adjacent game lands into the lease property.
