This hunting lease is leased and not available. 158 acres for lease in Dane County. This is a Deer and Turkey Lease only. This gentle rolling property has everything wildlife needs to call home. The property consists of mixed hardwoods, thick wide fence rows, row crops (corn in 2024), water, and areas of CRP type grasses. Several oak trees are on the property that can provide acorns for the deer and turkeys. Plenty of mature trees on property for stand locations. Heavy trails, tracks, rubs, and beds were all observed during my inspection. While inspecting the woods in the northwest corner I actually observed a very mature looking buck leaving his bed and exiting the woods. There are two access points to the property, one in the southeast corner and one in the southwest corner. The way that the property lays most of the ground is hidden from the road providing added security for the game animals. The thick fence lines that are on the property provide several hiding locations for the deer. There are a few grassy waterways that can provide stealthy access to areas of the property as well. The woods west edge is bordered by lake frontage providing a great corridor for deer travel and ambush sites. Respectful use of ATV's is allowed for hunting related activities only when weather and ground conditions permit. The landowner would like contact from the hunters initially. The landowner would also like a text from the hunters before going to the property. Don't damage any crops. Respect all boundaries. No tree cutting. No use of nails, screws, or screw in tree steps.
