This hunting lease is leased and not available.
107-acre deer and turkey hunting lease in Dunn County. Great mix of timbered valley and CRP type vegetation in open areas of the property. Those acres are not enrolled in CRP program, but landowner is leaving in similar type vegetation along with mixture of clovers. The trail runs along edges of the timber and into the northern most timbered sections. I've had many really great leases in Dunn County in the past and this property feels like it could be the same.
According to the landowner, they had allowed a family friend to hunt the property in the past. When he moved away several years ago, they have not allowed anyone to hunt since. I was told it has been 4-5 years since anyone has hunted the property.
I've visited the property several times and spent the majority of that time with the landowner. Landowner wants the property to be sanctuary for wildlife but understands the need to have hunters help control the numbers along with the aide in property expenses that hunting leases revenue will help with.
With that, landowner has a number of requests that I will list below. Wanted to set the tone first that these are required to ease into leasing as this is something new to the landowner. I would be happy to discuss in greater detail each of these so just give me a call.
This is a deer and turkey hunting lease. Landowner does not want any does taken, so buck only for deer hunting. Landowner would also like to see a picture or be shown in person any game taken primarily to know that her rules regarding no does are being adhered too.
Landowner would like to be contacted prior to any visits to the property.
Landowner would like an aerial marked with locations of stands and trail cameras.
No camping or food plots at this time. Possible in the future once landowner gets to know hunters better
ATV okay for hunting related activities, but landowner wants hunters to be aware of potential risk of fires from a hot muffler. This would apply to any vehicles as well. Landowner does try to keep trails mowed to reduce the potential risk.
If you want to add another 46 acres to your hunting leases, landowner also owns Base Camp property 11989 which is across the road to the south of this property should it be open to lease.
