This hunting lease is leased and not available.
80 acres that was recently purchased after 30 years of being left alone to grow wild. This farm is what I would call a diamond in the ruff. The local deer herd has been and will continue to call this place home. Day of inspection, I jumped several deer, and one can vision this farm being a late season hot spot, with the 20 acres of wheat & rye being planted soon. All my Shelby County leases are strong producers in the deer category, and this farm will follow suit. The 20 acres marked in blue has been totally cleared and plowed up for late season cover crop.
Previous landowner did shoot a massive 18pt buck on this farm, so one could reason those genetics still run wild here.
***The landowner has just bought this property and will be on the property from time to time using his equipment to clear around the old house and removing the house all together / mowing and working the 20-acre field / All the cedars and nuisance brush in the next year or so will be removed at some point and time only leaving the mature woods / More activity than a hunter likes, but this farm will be something one will want to keep for years to come***
In the fall of 2024 triticale will be planted in the 20 acres marked In Blue on map / this will make a great late season cover crop. Triticale is a cross between wheat & rye...
The gate to the property will be closed, but never locked
