This hunting lease is leased and not available. 58 acres in Shawano County. This is a Deer and Turkey Lease only. Not many leases become available in this county, and this is a good opportunity for one. This property lease is set expire and renew June 1st of subsequent years. This gentle rolling property has a good mix of habitat. A hardwood ridge with plenty of mature trees including several oaks is the southern part of the lease. This area drops down towards the Red River which makes up the eastern boundary of the lease. Thicker underbrush along the river can provide good bedding areas for the deer. There are a few pines scattered about. A small area of spruce is on the property also. The landowner is very passionate about this property and has groomed it well. With this in mind there is going to be some logging done in the future. A great trail system traverses the property providing good access to all areas of the property. Deer sign is present on all areas of the property. Several trails, rubs, and tracks were all visible during my inspection. Several areas of turkey scratching were visible also. There are a couple of areas for possible food plot locations with permission from the landowner. The landowner states there are plenty of deer on the property and encourages antlerless deer harvest. The landowner would like contact from the hunters initially. He will be a great source of information about the property as well. Keep in mind that the easement into the property is shared by one other landowner, don't block the trail. Respectful use of ATVs is allowed for hunting related purposes only when weather and ground conditions permit. No tree cutting. No use of nails, screws, or screw in tree steps is allowed.
