This hunting lease is leased and not available. Here is a beautiful Blair County suburban hunting lease that is loaded with deer and turkey! The property owner told me that the property has alot of wildlife on it and he wasn't kidding! I seen 3 separate herds of deer, at least 20 total. I heard a turkey gobbling and flushed 2 grouse! There is a great mixture of thick bedding areas, open hardwood ridges, a swampy creek bottom and even a pond with a beautiful meadow. The property has been strategically managed for timber stand improvement with select timber cuts throughout the years, and a portion of it was just select cut recently, creating a diversity of thick undergrowth and wide open hardwood ridges, along with multiple pine benches that had an unbelievable amount of deer beds and trails throughout. There was an abundance of red and white oaks that are producing a heavy mast crop, also some beech and hickory trees, and even a few apple trees down around the pond! The logging roads make for great access throughout the entire property and will help you hunt any wind direction. Food plots are ok. Respectful atv use and camping during hunting season, for hunting purposes only. Landowners son lives on site to keep an eye on things. Located just outside the Altoona/Duncansville city limits. These large suburban properties hold a ton of deer and are hard to find, and I know one lucky hunting group will really enjoy this one.
