This is the first time this farm has come up for lease in the past five years, as the current lessee has continuously renewed, but has moved on to a larger farm. This is a fantastic lease, which is comprised of timber, row crops, and two ponds for water. A great combination to grow and hold mature bucks. Obviously, the water is especially important during the pre-rut/rut, as bucks will frequently visit these ponds. During my inspection I found numerous rubs and scrapes throughout, but what I was impressed by the most were the natural funnels this farm displays and the deer are just funneling through. This farm has consistently produced mature bucks and will continue to do so, so long as it's hunted correctly. As you can see by the trail-cam and harvest pictures, these are the type of bucks that are running this farm.
I've stated this on other Fayette County farms, I've personally hunted in this area, and I can tell you from experience, there are some very nice buck that call this part of Fayette County home. The property I hunted was only 2 miles from this farm.
