A very nice farm being offered for lease in Edgar County, Illinois. The farm is made up of timber, row crops, and water, all the elements needed to harvest mature deer. This property has an awesome secluded field that is no longer farmed and is approximately four acres, which is surrounded by big timber. When the row crops were in, there were some heavily used deer trails coming into this field. The secluded field mentioned above, will eventually be turned in to a hay field with a 15ft buffer strip of a cover crop. There are numerous trees available where you can hang plenty of stands. You will see the seclusion of this field from the aerial photo. Due to the way the stream on the west side of the farm runs, there are a couple nice pinch-points that the deer must travel through, which should be good during the pre-rut / rut.. There have been some very nice bucks harvested from this farm over the past years. Anyone who knows Illinois hunting knows that Edgar County consistently produces high end bucks' year in and year out.
