This hunting lease is leased and not available.
I am excited to see what will come off of this property this year. I pulled up to do my inspection and it was storming like mad. I had to see the ground, so I took a pretty good walk anyway and I am happy I did; it was just as I thought it would be...fantastic.
The ground has everything a deer hunter would want... mature timber, thick brushy areas, high ground, low ground and plenty of water and row crops.
The nicest feature of this farm is the way it lays. We can comfortably get 5 hunters on this property and they will all have opportunities.
Another great feature is the river frontage. This farm has plenty of frontage on the Missinewa River. It is beautiful ground. I was taking pictures like I was on vacation. There is a small strip of timber on the east side of the river included here. The landowner said he would help you get permission to access that section from the east.
The large tract of woods across the street is owned by Ball State University and they do not allow any hunting at all! That makes this the only farm in that area that is able to be hunted.
There were trails criss crossing through out the entire property. Walking in the rain makes it tough to see tracks, but the deer traffic here isn't an issue.
I did see two coyotes on the farm and I know that turkeys have been released here by the DNR in the past. It is also apparently home to a family of beavers. (see pic)
This lease will be a dandy for anyone that truly appreciates the outdoors and is one for serious trophy hunters to consider. I am certain there is a big one living here.
