This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This remote farm in Fayette County, IL, is now available for lease, offering a diverse mix of timber, CRP, water, hay fields, and row crops surrounding the property. The property currently supports approximately 100 head of cattle and should have no impact on your hunting. They have been on this farm since 1970. The landowner will also work with you to assure that the cattle's presence will not impact on any of your hunting. In fact, several impressive bucks have been harvested on this farm over the years while the cattle were on the property. During my visit, the landowner and I observed deer comfortably feeding in the same field with the cattle, further demonstrating that the livestock won't interfere with hunting opportunities. Additionally, the landowner and I saw 9 to 10 deer, including a notable buck that was probably in the upper 140-class range. The property also features CRP in the upper northwest corner, where I found several ideal locations for setting up a stand. Fayette County has consistently produced impressive bucks in recent years, and this farm is located in an area with excellent potential for quality hunting and the opportunity to harvest a mature IL buck. Please note: the landowner does have a size restriction on any antlered deer harvested with the exception of a youth hunter.
*Landowner plans a small select cut this year, but it will not occur during hunting season.
*Lease runs one year from date leased.

* All bucks harvested must be 130 inches or bigger. However, he will allow a juvenile to harvest any legal buck. All harvested bucks, must be reported to the landowner for QDM purposes, either by text or in person.
* Landowner is a super nice guy and lives on the farm.
*A section of this property is enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), which aims to reduce soil erosion, improve water quality, and enhance wildlife habitats.
