This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This is PRIME ground in Big Buck Indiana territory. I don't like the term "it doesn't get any better than this!"...but sometimes it just fits.
This is 330 acres of great wildlife habitat in Parke County. The diverse landscape and features of the property make it a natural home for deer and turkey. The landowner took me for a drive around the whole farm...made possible by a gravel road/path that winds all the way through the farm. This makes access on foot or ATV easy and quiet.
Deep ravines run off of the pastures and cropfields making ideal travel corridors for deer. I busted 10 out of one draw on my inspection. Although it was raining hard on my inspection, I could still see paths and trails that were absolutley beat down by deer travel. The overall deer population has to be huge here and the good news is that the more deer you harvest, the more that will continue to fill in from the surrounding woods and fields. That's a point worth mentioning for bucks as well. There are farms and ground all over that have one or maybe two dominant bucks using them. When you kill him it may take a little bit for another big one to move in. Look at the aerial of this place. There are studs running all over this place...no doubt in my mind. When one of you kill a giant...another one is going to move in instantly and give someone else a shot. That means alot to me on my leases.
This farm is a must see for any group that is looking for a great piece of ground and wants to lease it year after year and grow the kind of deer you want to shoot.
Landowner would like an emphasis placed on does. They are really hitting his sweet corn hard. As are the coons...take all the raccoons you can legally take.
This is a working Amish home and farm. Landowner respectfully requests that there be no Sunday hunting on the homestead parcel only. There are only about 25 acres of woods on this portion, so staying away on Sundays won't be an issue. Landowner is a very nice man and is sincere about providing a quality experience for you.
Turkey Run State Park is less than a mile away and there are several nice campgrounds in the area.
