This hunting lease is leased and not available. 91 acres in Allegany County, New York located in DMU 9Y. This area of the state has a robust 10 plus deer harvested per square mile. With the number of apple trees located on this property, it will be a deer magnet come fall. Topography is very diverse. There is a creek bottom, rolling hills and some gently rolling meadows. Bedding cover was outstanding consisting of silky dogwood and honeysuckle thickets. Both deer and turkey were observed during my inspection. Finding a good spot to hang a tree stand should not be an issue as there are many great ambush locations on the property. A farm pond is present for an additional water source, however landowner retains the fishing rights. There is a stocked stream, Dyke Creek, located a few minutes away. Two grain farms producing corn and soybean are located on two sides of the parcel. Lodging is located about seven miles away in Wellsville or landowner will allow for a camper to be parked by his pole barn during the hunting season. ATV use will be allowed for hunting purposes only. Very limited public hunting exists in this DMU. If you want great Southern Tier deer and turkey hunting, this property is for you.
