This hunting lease is leased and not available.
This is a big piece of property with a lot of potential! Approximately 480 acres for lease; part of a 540 acre farm consisting mostly of mature hardwoods with gently rolling terrain. The remaining 60 acres is leased to the Kentucky Wetlands Reclamation Program and has been planted in a variety of tree seedlings that can only enhance the game quality of the entire property.
White oaks dominate this property. There is also a large area of forest that caught fire several years ago and has been clear-cut. This area has now grown over into very thick vegetation making an ideal bedding area. There is also a 3 to 4 acre open area that would make a great food plot.
The property owners live on the farm and routinely see deer, turkeys, and other wildlife in the yard around the house. While talking to the landowners on their back porch, we watched a velvet buck that looked to have a lot of potential browsing in the field right behind the house. The sheds in the pictures were found lying in the lawn and garden area close to the house and were picked up by the landowners this past spring.
The boundaries of the property are well marked and there is a good trail system in place. The area outlined in blue in the aerial photo is the WRP zone with no hunting. Responsible ATV use is okay for hunting purposes; no screw in steps, do not damage trees.
