This hunting lease is leased and not available. At first glance, one might overlook this property. I was pleasantly suprised at the amount of deer sign and more cover than what the aerials might indicate. During my inspection, a young buck walked out 50 yards from me and we had a stare down for almost a minute during which time I took the picture of him you see in the listing. From this encounter I got the sense that there is not a lot of hunting pressure around this property. The two combined parcels are also somewhat unique in that they are far enough apart to truly be hunting a different set of deer and also allow you multiple stand locations for almost any wind direction. The landowner is a super guy who bought this abandoned farm several years ago. The abandoned farm house and buildings is a bit of an eye sore, but that is only on one corner of the 80 acre parcel with the remainder being a beautiful piece of property. Landowner has a trail planted in clover that goes around the entire 80 acre parcel thus a good late season food source and easy access to your hunting stands. Plenty of mature oaks on almost entire permiter of the 80 acres. Northeast corner is willows, birch and marsh grass, which is where the buck came out of during my inspection. The 40 to the south is primarily softwood and willows, but it is thick and full of trails and deer sign. There is also a ditch that keeps the property well drained yet holds water for wildlife.

I do think this is a solid deer hunting spot. The lease is for all legal game. I did see sign of turkey and am sure one could decoy in geese if you wanted to hunt them. There is great trail access to both properties and a locked cable on entry from road into them to help prevent any unwanted visitors.

ATV's allowed to retrieve game, hang stands and check game cameras assuming weather and ground conditions are good. Landowner is open to allowing camping for hunting related purposes, but you will need his permission to do so first. He would also like to meet with prospective hunters when they visit the property, so give Wisconsin Leasing Agent a call once you request driving directions/permission to get landowner's contact information. Once you lock it in, he would appreciate a call before you hunt primarily so he can minimize any of his activity on the property during your hunt. Lease end on June 1st each year.
