This hunting lease is leased and not available. This is a nice mountain property that joins the Jefferson National Forest on one side and the New River on the other. The property has several saddles and nice ridges for setup points. There is a small field which a horse is kept in during the summer months. A nice access road runs through the middle of the property and there are some old logging trails that can be used to place stands and retrieve game. Upon inspection I saw several well used trails leading down to the field. I also saw turkey sign on the ridges leading up the mountain. The landowner has seen bear on the property from time to time in the past. The property is located at the end of a state maintained highway. Landowner lives on the property and will allow camping along the access road but no electricity is available.
