This hunting lease is leased and not available.
Every county just seems to have those spots that have more deer than anywhere else in that county. This property and the landowner's other property 6004 just seem to be that. The amount of deer sign I saw for miles before and into the landowner's property was truly impressive. It was 1:30 pm in the afternoon and I had to see over 30 deer combined in various fields already out feeding. The deer trails crossing the country roads in some places were literally every 50 yards or so. As we pulled into this property, half a dozen deer and 3 tom turkeys came off the crops on the top of the northern side and ran into the hard woods on the western side.
The buck pictured in the listing was taken on this property and shows there are some good deer in this part of the state. There are row crops on the northern and southeastern side of the property. The center is primarily cedars, birch, pine and tag alters. There is a drainage ditch and small creek that dissect the lower ground from the hard woods that primarily make up the western and southern side of the property. The access road in continues on into the property and circles around to the southern side and then back which makes for really good access into almost every part of the property. If you want to add another 80 acres to your hunting lease take a look at Property 6004, if available, which is also owned by the same landowner and is approximately a mile east from this one.
Couple things to note. On the aerial you see a blue line along the eastern boundary. Landowners family owns majority of the property to the east of this one and this same lane that is used to get to agricultural field on southeastern side of this property, is also used by family to access their property that borders this one. Basically the shared boundary between this is also the access for both. The area circled in yellow is a small rock and gravel quarry. It is not used that much, but just wanted to make you aware of what the blue line and yellow circle represented on the aerial.
All legal game is yours to hunt. Respectful use of ATV for hunting related activities is okay as well as camping with permission from landowner as to when and where. He is also okay with food plots with his permission as to where and what type. He would like a call prior to coming to the land primarily to help minimize any presence on the property while you are there hunting.
