This hunting lease is leased and not available. As I inspected this beautiful Houghton County Property the last week of April, I didn't know what to expect. As I walked around the bend in the old logging road, the recently select cut hardwoods erupted with tails. It must be the combination of acorns and ridges that protect and feed the deer up there during the winters. Judging from the tracks and number of deer I saw, the whitetail population is doing great. I also heard a few grouse drumming and flushed a couple of woodcock.

This property was select cut in the last few years. It is high up on a hill, but it has logging runs throughout it for easy access. There is an old tar paper camp shack with a wood stove. You are welcome to use it, but it is pretty rough and will need a cleaning. It would make a nice big blind. If you are up for a northern hunting adventure, this is the perfect spot.

Camping and ATV use are allowed.
