This hunting lease is leased and not available. These two Jackson County properties are both active tree nurseries and together make up this lease. There are chestnut, apple, pear, jujube, permission, paw paw and berries on each of these properties and the landowner is losing his profits to deer. He has been issued damage permits in the past. One tract is approximately 10 acres and the other is around 30 acres. Both properties are surrounded by forest and this land is the only real crop around, so they both draw deer from all over. The smaller property will only be suitable to hunt by one person, but the bigger property could be hunted by two people pretty easily, especially archery hunting. The larger property also has a pond to increase it's attractiveness. There is some decent huntable timber on the larger tract so you don't have to hunt just the edge if that what you prefer. The small tract is fairly steep while being flat on top, where as the larger tract is basically flat to rolling. The landowner lives on the small tract and his farm hand lives on the bigger tract. ATVs can be used to hang stands and retrieve deer.
