There has been some incredible bucks taken off of this property over the years!
This farm was amazing! The owner told me a story about somebody seeing a group of 100 deer, and quite frankly, I had my doubts. But, when I showed up at the property a few days later, I counted easily 80 of them, including around 50 in one group. It was an incredible sight!
Located about 20 miles south of Quinter, this farm needs to be the destination for your group. It features just over TWO miles of the Smoky Hill River. And, out in this neck of the woods, water is as good as gold.
The majority of this property is in pasture ground, some of it being grazed, some not. The owner is trying to do his best to keep it from being overgrazed. The cattle are on the grass only part of the year. Some of it is in badlands on the south end and up on the north end.
The remainder of the ground is in crops or wasteland. There are three irrigation pivots adjacent to the river and some more dry land crops scattered about. There is also a little CRP up on the north end.
There are three good looking woodlots strategically located between the river and the crops that were full of all kinds of deer sign. The north woods is below what is called the old Bullinger house and has a spring running out of it.
The rubs on this place were plentiful, huge, and too numerous to count. Some of the best ones were even in the farmyard and up around the owner's house.
The owners live here part time and have security cameras to monitor the activity while they are gone. They have owned this place since 2008 and there has only been limited hunting.
Both whitetail and mule deer can be found here.
Access will be from the west or the NE corner.
