This hunting lease is leased and not available. Looking for a Pittsylvania County Virginia hunting lease that has a little bit of everything? This property has all the essentials deer need to not only visit but live there year round. There are several fields which provided excellent forage. Approximately 115 acres of the property was clear cut in 2006, then allowed to grow back naturally. This has provided excellent cover for the deer, not to mention all the tender vegetation that it provides. All the draws and creek lines are in mature timber with oaks providing yet another food source. Around the clear cut the landowner left mature trees on the property for the purpose of providing excellent vantage points for hunters. The property has two ponds and two creeks that run through it also. This makes the farm an all-round perfect habit for wildlife.

This is a part of a working cattle farm, but the fields are used in rotation with other tracts to insure overgrazing doesn't occur. The cattle are also fenced out of all draws and creeks on this property making them perfect for the deer to travel in. During the inspection I saw at least 10 different deer, a group of turkeys, and heard another group of birds that had a gobbler lighting the woods up at 11:00 am. There were numerous rubs and slick trails working in and out of the cut over.
