Here's an awesome farm being offered for lease in Henderson County, Illinois. This farm is very secluded and you will have no worries of any road traffic what-so-ever. As you will see from the aerial photo, the blue line depicts the entrance / easement to the farm. The farm is made up of timber, row crops and bedding. In fact, I jumped up 6 to 7 deer during my inspection. The aerial photo says everything you need to know, when it comes to funnels and pinch-points. With this farm being so secluded, I have no doubt the deer will wander into the row crops during the daylight hours, increasing your odds at getting a shot off at a mature Illinois buck.
The landowner has improved the property, as the farm was timbered. He took out the Thorny Locus and Hackberry trees, which need to be removed, 20 walnut trees, and 150 oak trees. As you can see, this was not a hard cut, in fact, it was very selective One wouldn't even notice it was cut, if not for the tops, which are providing cover and browse for the deer. There are water ways throughout the farm that you can use an ATV to get around on without driving in the row crops, which is not allowed. The landowner also does not want any pick-up trucks driven on the farm.
