This hunting lease is leased and not available.
One of the better farms that I have been on! I usually try to mention when I jump groups of deer up while inspecting a new lease, but I am pretty sure I jumped up a couple herds on this one. I also ran into a couple different flocks of turkey's out in the fields the day of inspection and the one group had 10 long beards in it. Lease is on a dead end road that gets very little traffic during hunting season.
The fields are planted in row crops and there are several small ponds throughout the farm that will provide year round water as well. The woods had a select timber cut done in 2016. Those areas that were cut should really be creating some great cover now. The deer are going to have even more browse and the bedding habitat that tree tops provide is going to allow this farm to hold even more deer. There are 15+ persimmon trees up by one of the old ponds that produce a lot of fruit every year.
Another bonus is that this farm adjoins 1,000's of acres of the Hoosier National Forest and it is a 1.5 mile walk to get to this farm from the public parking area. This part of the Hoosier National is thick, has hardwoods, giant pine thickets and has a ton of deer and turkey on it. Just step over the fence on the south line and you have miles of more hunting area at your disposal. Please look at the topo map of this farm so that you can see the great elevation changes that it has. Also in the topo map photo's the areas highlighted in green are the forest boundaries. This is an awesome lease and will provide some great hunting.
*Landowner built a new pond in 2019 and I have highlighted that area in Blue on the aerial photo.
*Responsible ATV use for hunting purposes only
*Landowner would consider camping
