Located only 30 minutes from Wichita, this lease will be ideal for you city folks looking for close place to sneak away to when you tell your wife you are going to be running "errands".
These three farms will give you chances at the bucks and the birds. They are all located with 1.5 miles of each other, and off a black top road.
The western most tract is where the owner lives, and upon inspection, there were a lot of deer tracks in the woods behind the owner's house, along with some decent rubs. This chunk of woods is fenced off from the cattle (as indicated by the blue line on the aerial picture) that summer graze on the old CRP fields surrounding it, and looks like a great spot to place a feeder to make the sure deer stay close. There is also a small crop field on the south side. NO RIFLE HUNTING CLOSE TO THE HOUSE!!!
The other two tracts have creeks/ waterways surrounded by crops. These should be good for bird hunting and for possibly finding one of those rutting bucks.
The owner says he sees deer quite frequently around the properties, and says there is waterfowl on the pond and several covey of quail.
