The Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) is 8J, both residents and non-residents had a high probability of drawing 2 DMP permits in 2016. This hunting lease is a working farm (crop and beef). The lease is broken into 2 pieces. The main piece consists of 126 acres of woods, pasture and crop fields. The other piece consists of 57 acres of crop fields, woods and swamp. The landowner accompanied me on my inspection. There are many visible deer trails, tracks and last year's rubs. The landowner often sees deer and turkey in the alfalfa fields. This property will be very easy to hunt. There is excellent road access to the property that will allow approaching stands with wind in your favor. The landowner wants the hunters to have a great experience and would love to show you the property and share his local knowledge. ATV use is allowed for hunting purposes only. You will be allowed to setup stands and recover game only, you must stay on established trails. Camping would be allowed for hunting purposes, get with the landowner for location to park.
