Here is a fantastic farm in SE Logan County close to the Champaign County line. I personally helped two of my friends manage this farm for 5-years. Just check out the pictures of bucks from this farm!! This property is within 10 minutes of West Liberty, 8 minutes from Mad Mountain Ski Resort, and within 20 minutes of Marysville. There are over 80-acres of timber and cover on this property. The cover is diverse with a couple nice hardwood ridges, split by a year-round small creek with thick cover all along the banks, creating a great travel corridor. There are fence-rows, thick grassy sections, two ponds, and fields rotated in row crops.
This is a working maple farm, so they will be in the woods in some sections during the spring gathering sap. There are no tubes running between the trees, as they tap and bucket each tree by itself. The deer are used to this and it creates some great access trails for you to get to your stands, and for the bucks to cruise during the fall. The rest of the year you should have the farm to yourself.
Not a ton of turkeys here, but the deer hunting in this area is some of the best in the State of Ohio, especially for top end whitetail bucks!! Family member lives on site to keep an eye on things. Respectful ATV use for hunting purposes only. No camping until the landowner gets to know you better. Then, they may allow it. This is the area everyone asks me to find property in. I personally hunt a few different properties all within 15 minutes of here… so that should tell you something!!! This area is one of the best Ohio has to offer!!
