This hunting lease is less than 15 miles (north west) of Rome, New York. This property is in the Northern Zone (WMU- 6K). This farm is an excellent mixture of woods, pasture and hay fields. There is over a mile of road frontage running North and South (property west side of road). The north border has a major power line just inside the property line. I saw lots of deer sign on my inspection (rubs/droppings). The property has plenty of old buck rubs still visible. There are several apple orchards and 3 hidden hay fields that attract the deer and turkeys. There is a small stream that can be crossed easily toward the west border. On my first visit to this property I saw several large flocks of turkeys. The property lays out great for many stand locations and is bordered to the west and south by big crop fields (see panned out aerial). The landowner will allow food plots ( check with landowner for locations). ATV use and camping will be allowed for hunting purposes only. The landowner will designate camper spot. Make sure you stay off the hay fields with the ATV and that you close any gates you open.
