This is a Top-End Whitetail farm with true trophy potential!!! Just one look at the buck in the 1st picture tells you everything you want to know. We have a BCL property in the same section, and every year the hunters tell me of the giant bucks they see crossing the high grass on this farm.
DO NOT let the aerial fool you… as you ask why this property is supposed to be so good? This is due to the fact there are 147 acres of CRP (current 10 year program started 2017) and set-aside ground. CRP = BIG BUCKS!!!! To top off the 147 acres of CRP you have about 6 acres of cover including points, fingers and two major travel corridors. Then, you have three small creeks with year-round water, and long fence-rows with mature trees for stands with some nice big old oaks mixed in. The rest of the property is rotated in row crops.
There is access from the north and south so you can play the wind. CRP has great clover in it, and landowner has mowed lanes completely around the perimeter for access. Place a couple tower blinds out in the CRP and every buck in the area should end up out in the high grass with you during gun season. During the rut hunt the points, corridors and fencerows. Then, feed during the late season and the deer should pour out of the high grass to you.
The landowner and farm manager are great people. Property is within 10 minutes of Marysville for everything you need. Respectful ATV use for hunting purposes only. This is a DEER and TURKEY LEASE ONLY. Only thing the landowner asks is that you harvest some does and verify it with him, otherwise he may not offer a renewal.
