Who doesn't love chest high CRP? I know I do!!! So does the wildlife. That is what the eastern 80 acres of this farm features, as it falls to the west into an old overgrown pasture/ creek bottom. There has not been any cattle in here for a couple of years, therefore the brush and weeds are grown up thick as can be. Whether you are a bow hunter set up on the edge of the woods, or in a shooting house overlooking a distant feeder down in the bottom, this place looks to have all the ingredients to grow some trophy whitetails. There are good access points and parking spots in the SE and NE corners.
The west side of this farm features an old railroad bed. The grassy areas on this side of the farm are put up into hay, the rest is wasteland. You can also use the old tracks to access the interior of the property.
As always when I inspect properties in the fall, I don't get to deep into the interior parts of the properties, as I don't want to run off any game that call this farm home. By the looks of things, and what the landowner told me, nobody else has been on this farm for quite some time, except to farm it. I can't wait to go back after season and see all the fresh deer sign. Respectful ATV use for hunting purposes only.
Also, don't forget about the the upland game and goose hunting this area offers! This property is set up great for an all around hunting paradise.
