The farm is clearly serving as a travel corridor for deer. One thing I did like, the row crops are not planted right up next to the timber, but rather separated by a generous buffer of CRP. This configuration not only enhances accessibility but also provides ample cover for deer, thanks to the dense underbrush in the timbered areas.
During my visit, I encountered six deer directly behind the pond, camouflaged by the thick undergrowth. Despite the cold weather the underbrush was still providing cover.
