This hunting lease is leased and not available. Up for lease are two separate tracts totaling 98 acres. The first tract is 47 acres of hardwood bottoms, pasture field, and upland cedars. There are some cows that graze a portion of the farm at times, it should not interfere with hunting at all. The land owner lives on this tract and sees high numbers of deer and turkeys continually. She told me stories about how the deer stand there and watch her drive by them as she rides up and down her road going into the property. As for the turkeys on this tract, she feeds large droves of them at times behind her cabin.

The second tract is 51 acres. It is a few miles away through the woods and it consists of 25 year old hardwood cutover natural regrowth. This place is the security cover for all game animals in the surrounding area. Its shaded out enough now to maneuver through, yet its still thick enough to be the main sanctuary in the area. I jumped a hen turkey with 12-13 babies under her literally 50 yards from my truck walking in. There were deer rubs all through this tract and this piece has a history of very high deer numbers over the years. A few trails through this piece and some strategic bait piles and someone will be in business.
