This hunting lease is leased and not available. I could have easily passed on this property after looking at the map. However, I knew better, as this property mirrors the very best farm I hunt. I was right, as this farm is crawling with whitetails. Every inch of the crop fields had tracks in them. You will be well off the road when hunting and should see all day movement during the rut. I would suggest an ATV/UTV is essential to hunt this property, and they may be used if it is respectful and for hunting purposes only. About halfway across the main field the terrain drops a little and you and the deer cannot be seen from the road. There is a ditch and grass swales in this part of the property that would make an awesome gun set-up. Plus, the fence row to the north has great oaks along it. This property has super thick bedding all around the north and east sides. I have marked on the map the crossings on the ditch and what seems to be an old rail bed which now is a water line right-of-way. This right-of-way has thick grass on both sides. Once you cross this line you are in two beautiful hidden fields with about 6 acres of thick cover to the east. Run a couple cell cameras here and I think you might just find a few giant bucks call this home. This is the kind of property I love and would have no issues hunting here. This is the sleeper spot guys ask me about all the time, so give it a hard look. Everything you need is in Oberlin which is just a few miles away.
